Recognition as a counter hegemonic strategy

Building on the analyses of cultural hegemony in works Nancy Fraser and Wendy Brown, I argue paper that historic bloc (order hegemony) post-Fordist capitalism is characterized by a particular dynamic between several ?axes? gives rise to ?paradox engagement/disengagement?. The ?progressive-expertocratic? axis creates subject-position ?engaged self?, figure embodying certain promise political agency simultaneously obstructed other, depoliticizing axes hegemony. This conducive contemporary right-wing authoritarianism, which purports fulfill this through series displacements - counterhegemonic left, argue, has so far not formulated an effective alternative strategy.
